HOW TO JOIN OUR "1st U M C Lansing" CHURCH FAMILY
Anyone can participate in the ministries of the Lansing 1st U M C and even serve in many capacities in leadership, before or without becoming an official member, BUT...
When "the church" or "that church" starts to feel like "My church," and when you change from referring to "your church" or "this church" and start to call it "our church."
It may be time to think about becoming a member!
Are you interested in taking the next step in your relationship to the Lansing 1st U M C by exploring membership? What does being a member here entail? What is expected? Why might I want to be a member? What does it even mean to be a member and a United Methodist?
Please let Pastor Dave Price know you are interested in exploring further and/or would like to attend a Membership Exploration Meeting. Attending does not mean you have made your decision already, but it can help you make your decision. And attending one of these meetings is necessary to become a member, because who would want to commit to something before they knew what they were committing to?
If you would like to take the next step to become a member of your church family, please:
- Speak directly with Pastor in person or phone 708-474-1144 Ext. 11, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

All who desire to grow in their faith and live by the teachings of Jesus Christ are encouraged to become part of the ministry and mission of the church.
The United Methodist Church recognizes the baptism of other denominations. One must be baptized to become a member.
We have confirmation class for those in 7th and 8th grade every other year. Please contact the pastor if you are interested in this class.
